Safe from the chopping block so far, bring on the fireworks!

*FOR TEN YEARS. 1999. I think I started reading it a year after it came out, I can't remember, and didn't get really "into" it until another year after that. Either way it's been A LONG TIME. *Old school fan* Finally finished the stupid lines on the pic and cleaned the sketch, click for full pic. Too lazy to color it now. XD

*I didn't lose my job, yet! Another round of layoffs coming in September, they say. JOY. Friday and yesterday 46 employees at my work (out of 1,032) lost their jobs. I WAS SO SCARED. *A*;;; My boss told me she thinks I'm safer than anyone else because my job is listed as "on call" (rather than "temp" or "full time") even though I work 45 hours each week. But I'm too paranoid to let that relax me. No one is saaaaafe.

*4th OF JULY THIS WEEKEND, BOOYAH. My Canadian friends always make fun of me/usa in general for how insane we get on the 4th. "I don't know anyone else who wears their flag so much etc." Hahaha. Around here we all dress up in red/white/blue or flag prints and compete with the neighbors on who puts off the biggest fireworks in the sky. And people get drunk. The next morning there's usually a bunch of scattered bodies passed out in the middle of the fields and pastures. LOL. Ahem. This year I might be going to the ocean to set off fireworks on the beach though. Not sure yet, because my family is bad at planning more than a day ahead. OTL

*Also, R.I.P. Michael Jackson. He was always in the background of my childhood with his funky songs and music videos. xD

Naruto's been around for so long... like... almost half of my life!!! D:

Also, I'm glad you didn't lose your job! YAY!!! :D

AND~ It is a crime in Mexico for us to wear our flag. Like, neither the crest nor the flag can be printed in shirts or hats or undderwear or swimsuits or stuff unrelated to the government. RESPECT DAWG.

I believe our Independence celebration is pretty epic too!
Next year is the 200th anniversary of independence and 100th of the revolution!

and only i read the manga since this year but from the anime onguards, so is 4 years???

About Independence here is 2 days celebration, is an order to to put the flag in all the houses
there are ancient traditional festivals with tradicional food (but they forgot traditional dances and put in there Cumbia and regetton (Dances from other countries, terribles things i hate them)
food: Empanadas is meat and olives and boied eggs in a manjou?? but made of wheat, chicha (is super fresh wine, is sweet, and have too much grape color)
and the militar police parade, that's it!

I never wAS to a festival of that but you supose to eat empanadas and cazuela, or made a big pizes of meat (not hamburgers) barbecue, with national wine who is really good even the bad brands are good compared to other countries (obviously no the more cheapest ones, but the ones in the midle are very good too)

4th July - that's what I envy Americans XD;;. Here the Independence Day is all about constant mourning about all fail!uprisings and fail!wars - I'd rather have some happy celebrations, really :/.

LOL us canadians I don't think we celebrate that much..who knows, I'm mostly sleeping, so I don't see what goes on.

Well I'm glad you're sorta safe at your job. It's crazy how many people are losing their jobs.
